A Shavuot Feast
The Wandering Chew, in partnership with The Montreal Centre of Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW), hosted a Shavuot Feast. This dinner was based on recipes from the Montreal Jewish cookbook A Treasure For My Daughter first published in 1950 and which is now in its 14th printing!
Guests had the opportunity to enjoy a dairy meal for Shavuot made up of traditional Ashkenazi Jewish dishes from the cookbook. At the same time, guests learned about the women who wrote this cookbook and its place in the Montreal Jewish community.
This was an experiential dinner featuring great conversation, delicious food, music and drink. Each guest left with a booklet containing the recipes for all the dishes served. Copies of A Treasure For My Daughter were also available for purchase.
