Mimouna Celebration
Are you looking for a unique way to end Passover? Join the The Wandering Chew and At the Immigrant’s Table to celebrate Mimouna, the Moroccan-Jewish end of Passover celebration. Start the night off by coming on a mini Mimouna-hop to visit two homes where you’ll be served traditional holiday dishes. We’ll then head back to the Museum of Jewish Montreal to continue our Mimouna celebrations, feast on more unique Moroccan dishes with a modern spin and sip specially crafted cocktails, all while enjoying live music from Fondation Samy Elmaghribi and Ensemble Tessala.
The Mimouna hop will take place from 8:30pm to 9:30pm, and the party portion of the evening will begin at 9:30pm. Space is limited to 25 for the Mimouna hop but there are lots of spots at the party!
Tickets are $30 for the Mimouna-hop & party (which includes the food tour and party, all the yummy food and live music), and $20 ($15 for students) for the Mimouna party alone (which includes the delicious bites at the party and the live music).
Mimouna celebrations begin an hour after the end of Passover, the celebrations take place in the home around the Mimouna table, which is filled with sweet foods to help usher in a sweet year. Throughout the evening people go “Mimouna hopping” to visit friends and family who are hosting their own celebrations.
