The Wandering Chew hosted a Jewish Holiday ritual foods cooking workshop!
Across Jewish communities there is a tradition of eating specific foods that have symbolic and ritual meaning for ushering in the new year. In this wokshop participants learned how to cook an appetizer, main dish, side dish, and dessert, using various meaningful foods. We also talked about the meaning behind each of these foods.
Once we were done cooking, we sat down to a meal together and enjoyed the fruits of our labour! Participants also left with the recipes so they can re-create the dishes at home.
